I used to spend every waking hour on AIM. At least, until my mom’s kitchen timer ran out and she kicked me off. But the time I did spend logged in as @MiZgULLiBle was pure bliss, chatting whomever was online—whether I hardly knew them or not—and customizing away messages with ASCII art.

Flash forward to adulthood and whenever you need someone to talk to, you have your best friends, you have your therapist. But what if your therapist is booked? What if your best friend is the problem?
When I first tried out the new chat platform Geneva, I swear my face turned into the starry eyed emoji. Finally, something cute, customizable, and fun where you could talk to ppl via typing and not video chat. (I hope ur old school too) But who would I talk to? After years of exploring my own gifts, a few months of volunteering at 7Cups, and asking friends to join me online when they texted me things like “IDK what’s going on with my life,” and texting wasn’t enough, I decided that a chat room is where my life’s purpose lay. Lol, but, no I’m serious. Lol.
anonymousBFF is a chat room where you can talk to me about life’s regular problems. I don’t have any degrees in psychology and I’m not a professional therapist. I’m just an unbiased third party who loves to chat, type, send GIFs, say “lmao” and share my energy with others.
So, if you need someone to chat with, I’m here.
